Carlton Professional supports Worldskills UK Final
The Carlton Group continued their support of WorldSkills UK at the Finals in Cambridge on 25th June.
As well as supplying the equipment for the competitors to use during the beauty therapy final, Carlton cheques of £150, £100 and £50 were also supplied to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners.
The winners included:
Beauty Therapy Advanced
Sara Holehouse from South Worcestershire College, 1st place
Melanie Squire from Derby College, 2nd place
Hannah McCloy from Sussex Downs College, 3rd place
Beauty Therapy Intermediate
Quiana Wilson from Waltham Forest College, 1st place
Amy Smith from Derby College, 2nd place
Sophie Galloway from Truro College, 3rd place
For Melanie Squire from Derby College, it was a double celebration, as she was also awarded 2nd place in Carlton Professional’s SEBTA competition earlier in June.
The Carlton Group is an official supplier for WorldSkills London 2011, supporting the competition by supplying couches, trolleys, lamps and stools from their quality Carlton Professional range, as well as electrotherapy machines for the finalists to use during the competition.
WorldSkills London 2011 takes place at ExCeL London from 5-8 October 2011. The competition brings together 1,000 young people from 50 nations to compete in 45 skills areas from six sectors, ranging from creative arts and fashion to transportation and logistics. Up to 50 highly skilled 18-22 year olds will compete to win Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and Medallions of Excellence, judged by international experts.
